Whoa! Another entry in just one day! Basically, I'm here to update the PSP Game Reviews since I was moving the pic files around & added game case covers on some of them. Looking at that section, I realized how much attention I gave to that area. Hopefully will add some more reviews next month. Other than that, I'm throwing in a cheap ad about our tamago toys web store having a "bonus" round on our current summer sale. This bonus is only good until the end of this month.

Last week, I went to my family doctor to get my stomach checked. I managed to get four days off from work at the time. I didn't think I needed that many days off, but I took it just in case after that near fainting experience that I never had before. Anyways, my doctor tells me that it's probably from stress. When I went for the examination, the doctor said that my intestines were still clogged & currently they still are since I have slight pains. Honestly, I think I have been stressed out too much from work & home. I seriously need a break, but this isn't the right time to get it really.
At work, the union will leave our company. This past Monday, the hotel staff had to vote whether they want the union in or out. The result is 12 votes in favour of having the union leave while 5 wanted it to stay. Originally, there should have been 18 people voting but I was cut out because I'm part of management. However, I've been paying the union the monthly union fees to them & they proclaim that they don't have my money & I'm not part of the union. My GM argued to the union representative about me paying them & how it wasn't right. However, my payroll says that I'm a front desk agent not some management position. Either way, one side is lying to me for sure & I'm prepared to take action if management does something funny at the workplace. Nevertheless, the voting results aren't official yet as the labour board need to do some documentations before announcing it. Once that is done, the GM will talk to me about my new roles & a possible raise. This is be done before the next pay check I assume.
In anime news, Cartoon Network has licensed Eyeshield 21& will be aired on Fall 2007. ADV Films got Xenosaga: The Animation with the first DVD coming out on September 11th, 2007. ADV also got 5cm Per Second, which will run in theaters first then on DVD in December 2007. Plus, they got Tokyo Majin & Project Blue Earth SOS.
Although I want to update this place, I didn't do it. Basically, work has given me overtime again & more headaches after I came back to work. Thus, stress is building up again. But, I've decided to upload the review of Bokura Ga Ita. Finally got around in watching the last episode.

Looks like the union will be removed from my workplace. According to the law, a company/organization needs at least 60% of staff members to agree on removing the union. The petition was to trigger the Labour board in voting for the union to be removed. Our GM & the union representative is to meet this Friday with the Labour board about this & set a date where the employees in the hotel get to vote. This is the final step where we determine if the union stays or leaves.
Yesterday, I had it bad at work. I woke up with stomach pains. It was like someone punched me right in the gut. A couple of hours into work, I started lose my vision. After making a reservation for a guest & prepared to move his luggage into the back office, my vision was fading & whiting out. This was the first time that I experienced something like this in my life. At the same time, I was producing cold sweat madly on my upper body. Luckily, it was only one luggage. Anymore & I felt I was really going to faint. Luckily, there was two people at the front desk as I took some time to rest. When it got busy, I decided to help out; thinking I was better. However, I was wrong as I was producing cold sweat again & losing my vision. More worse was when I wasn't able to support myself as I lean on the counter as I checked out a guest. I was bending over in pain. Taking my co-worker's advice, I went home & slept. A couple of hours later, I decided to go back to work as I was concern that the workload was a bit too much for my co-worker. He's still new even though he's been there for over a month now. I was a bit better as my stomach settled down & my vision was clear. But I still had a headache. I came back when the housekeepers were on their break. After their break, they asked me how I felt. I told them what happened which may have been the same as what my co-worker told them. The housekeepers told me that I looked pale & I should have stayed home & rested. I slept the whole day when I came home & feel a bit better now. As I'm typing this, my headache is gone & my vision is better. However, I still have some slight stomach pains. I'm glad that my days off were sooner this week as I can use these times to heal myself. Thinking of eating cleaner & healthier food during this time. Because of this, I wasn't able to celebrate Father's Day with my dad.
Because of my condition, no new updates this week. I want to use this time to really rest up.

Supposedly, I was going to get a lot of stuff in the mail this week. The stuff is mainly preorders that I had months ago. Unfortunately, they have been delay due to items in the orders being pushed back in terms of their release dates. Production schedules have been delayed on the products I've preordered to June. So, I'm probably going to get a lot of stuff in June instead. Goodbye, closet space!
At the hotel, I was surprised that one of our front desk agents came back to work part-time. Was surprised about this since our GM was against her working part-time due to complications on the scheduling. Nevertheless, it would ease off work for me somewhat. On the weekends, we have two people now at the desk & that's a good thing for me although there has been very little number of guests coming from & to the cruise ship terminals. Predictions for this is the US dollar being weak to the Canadian dollar (most people going on the cruise are from America based on what I seen), US passport situations, or the BC flooding situation (not too likely & has been at ease now). Either way, this is a good thing for me since I don't need to move a lot of luggage or focus on getting things done quickly to attend to the phones or other guests. But this is only somewhat the start of cruise season. I could be worse later on.
Other news at the hotel is the petition signing that I talked about. I got a better understanding about this now. Basically, our hotel needs 60% of the staff agreeing to have the union removed. According to my GM, he told me that a lot of people are in agreement for this. Our maintenance person is in charge for the housekeepers to sign the petition while I take care of the front desk. I can only get this done by the end of this week at the latest due to how the front desk is scheduled out; my schedule doesn't allow me to meet with everyone. Plus, we need to have it signed outside the building. The reason for this is because it's the law which I don't understand why. If my GM is right, I should get 100% on my side (excluding me) agreeing to have the union removed. For the housekeeper side, it's not 100% for sure since I know at least one person not signing it. Although I'm the person to go against the union, I actually haven't sign the application form myself. Basically, I want to see how this all plays out. I have the advantage in this since I know for sure who signed it on my side.
If you have been wondering what happened to my anime online store, it's still up. But as an unregistered company since I don't have the time to maintain it properly. Right now until the end of July, the store is holding a 25% off sale on almost all items. Basically getting rid of stock at this point since I don't have time to run that business anymore. More focus getting rid of it without losing too much. They are basically below my cost as it is now.
In anime news, Bandai Visual USA licensed Kiss Dum - Engage Planet. It wasn't announced until they released a trailer on NewType USA's DVD. I haven't touch that magazine for a long time & still a whole stack of them in my closet. Mainly the first issue to two years ago. If you want some of the magazines, contact me & we'll work out a deal, provided that I have it.
Updates for this week are mainly Gundam collectables. Got a review of CM's Lacus Clyne 1/8 Figurine (Not for Sale) up. That's all of them. I really won't be putting up a lot of stuff this month due to my busy lifestyle this summer.

Yay! It's June! Find all the May 2007 stuff in the Past News Archive! Plus more work hell for me at my hotel job! YAY!
Last week, I picked up a used copy of Valhalla Knights from my local EB Games store. I wanted to get this game for a while even since Amazon cancelled my order since they couldn't get anymore. I saved about $10 for the used copy. Was concerned at first since I don't know if the game has any problems on the UMD. I saw the instruction book & it has a tear on the cover, which isn't a big deal as the rest of the pages are fine. Played it a bit to test it & the game isn't too bad. Hard to control a bit since it only uses the analog nub to move. I prefer the D-pad now since I broke the nub before for some strange reason & had it replaced since last Christmas. Now I have concerns of breaking it again. Plus, I'm too use to using the D-pad because of this. But it's getting better & better now.
Aside from games, I went & got a couple of pairs of shoes. My old shoes were breaking apart & wearing out since I had them since college. Plus, I needed some shoes that were comfortable since I do a lot of standing at work. Not to mention walking & running around as well.
As for work, I haven't gotten into my evaluation stuff yet. Mainly because of the hotel being busy where we don't have the time to sit down & discuss. However before I ended my week of work, the GM told me evaluation stuff again as a recap. Basically, I need to sign something which I wasn't really paying attention much since I was having lunch & being alert for any guest coming to the front desk. He told me that "she" will be coming on Friday (the day I start my work week) with something for me to sign. What I know so far is that I will be managing the front desk staff when I sign it. The GM told me about my new role to the front desk & told me that they were ok with it. Although they are new people, I know most of them have accepted my role for sure without me being told. When I sign this paper, I will see a wage change; assuming it's an increase. I've been told that I can't get a wage change without sign that paper. From my understanding, it's probably to get the union out. The GM told me that he can't get involved in the process & he won't push or force me into making my decision. I have no idea who this "she" he's referring to as he didn't give me a name. Plus, I need to sign it without people around, which is the underground parking lot as he suggested. I've known what happened to the previous assistant manager since I was trained by her & all the stories surrounding her as people told me to be careful as the GM is using me. Of course, I don't intended to be used & will take my sweet time in carefully reading the papers before I sign it.
Updates? Brief anime reviews of AIKa R-16 - Virgin Mission - & _summer are up. Other than that, nothing else since I got so much to do.
