This past week, I got my Pia Carrot!! 3 trading figurine set in the mail. It's been out for a long time already, but I wanted this set for a long time now. I got the trading figurine edition since it came with the complete set of coasters. The gashapon version doesn't have the coasters. Personally, I think I have been spending a lot of money this month as I pre-ordered the Yujin SR-DX Rozen Maiden Suigintou that's coming in September. Plus, I've been thinking about get Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth when it's cheaper. However, I got Tekken: Dark Resurrection for the PSP yesterday. Although I'm not a fan of Tekken as I never played it before & hearing it's been selling out pretty fast on its release week, I decided to get it. But, I seen some stores have a lot of copies of it. At Future Shop, they had a whole shelve row of the game. Possibly 25 - 30 copies. Since I was in & didn't want to go empty handed & gas prices are high, I got it anyways (without the bonuses of course). The action looks good from what I seen in videos from the net. But the price is a little high for me & the game is kind of weird with some strange characters like that Panda & Kangaroo characters. But playing with it a bit, it's pretty fun. However, I do fine the game a little hard since I'm not use to the fighting system Tekken uses. For Valkyrie Profile, it's more of a collector's item to me since I have the PSX version already. However, it seems it's selling out now but I decided to take a risk & wait for a sale. If it's gone, no big loss since I still have the PSX version.
As for updates, nothing much really. Just updated & fixed the NANA review in the Anime section. I finally got a bit of an understanding on how the story is going. Other than that, nothing else since time has been hard on me due to work. Hopefully, next month would be better.

Yesterday, I received some new plushes in the mail. I got the original Fate/stay night Saber & Rin plushes from EXhaust & a set of Ichigo 100% by Banpresto. However, the set I got is totally different from the 1 I saw on eBay from the seller. I wanted the 1 with the OVA characters, but I got the main 4 heroines instead. Although I was a bit disappointed, I'm still happy about it since I like Ichigo 100% after watching the anime. Plus, the set has Satsuki in it (my favourite character).
Adding more to my collection of anime stuff, I brought Kotobukiya's Pia Carrot G.O. 1/8 PVC figurine of Kunugi Ayano. Originally, I was going to get the 3 AIR PVC figurines by Organic but I decided not to because of the total price & uncertainly about the workmanship. I saw a lot of molding problems on some areas & there were some black spots on the flesh areas. Also, the figurines didn't seem to do much. As a bonus, I got myself a Costume Party Maid Cafe Strap by Banpresto. I don't know much about this as in if this is from a game or real life, but the popularity of it seems to be high. Currently, I got it strapped to my cell after playing around with it as I thought the strap was short. After strapping it, I got too lazy in taking it out so I left it there. It's getting dirty pretty quick even though I got it on there for a week now.
Nothing new here really. Added a complete review of Ar Tonelico in the Anime section & put up a brief toy review of Kotobukiya 1/8 CLANNAD Sakagami Tomoyo PVC Figurine in the CLANNAD subsection of the Collectables section.
Not much to say, but I hope to get some more stuff here before this month ends.

It seems so far that working during the high season in a front desk position isn't very bad as I thought. However, it's still stressful with so many phone calls coming in & having guests in front of you waiting to be checked in or out. Anyways, I'm getting some anime plushes in the mail sometime this month. They are original (hopefully) Fate/stay night Saber & Rin plushes & a set of 4 Ichigo 100% plushes by Banpresto. I really wanted the Ichigo 100% & tried to order them from my supplier for my anime store when the anime series was popular. However, that supplier doesn't do much for me. Out of the 20 something items or so that I pre-ordered from them, I only got 1 item. Never want to order or buy from them again. Plus, I wasn't getting a retailer price for them. I was paying market price for them, which lead to a higher markup to sell them. A pain really.
In anime news, a new company called Illumitoon has licensed Beet the Vandel Buster as their 1st license. Since they are new, hopefully they can make a good impression in the industry in terms of translation & possibly some bonus items with the DVDs.

Just some minor things that I forgot to put up yesterday. Bandai also licensed .hack//roots at Anime Expo 2006. Also, I achieved June's past stuff into the Past News Achieve section.

I got relatives here this month & will be here for a whole month. Luckily, they aren't living in the same house as me as they will be renting somewhere else. Basically, my retired uncle is going to take a class at UBC for the month. I have no idea what he's studying since he worked as a principal before. So, it's a mystery for me. Plus, my dad is being a pain about this situation & it makes me feel uncomfortable having a family feud.
Since summer is here, I should get those Pia Carrot 3!! PVC figurines out. How often do I have PVC figurines in bikinis displayed in my shelves? Hardly since I'm not the type of person that likes to display these kind of figurines all year round. And speaking of PVCs, there are quite a lot of nice ones coming this month & August. I'm setting my eyes on the Ignis ones from Jingai Makyo & the 1/6 Feena Fam Ashright from Yoakemae yori Ruriiro na. They are quite pricey, so if I can't get them, it's no big loss for me. Saves my wallet at least. There are a lot of anime collectables coming this month as most of them were pushed back from June. However, the ones that I'm eyeing on are pretty limited & expensive.
In anime news, a lot of anime licenses had been happening during the 1st weekend of July. Most of these announcements came from Anime Expo 2006:
