American major record labels spend about $200,000 to $1,000,000 on a video for a hot band, most videos fall between $100,000 to $200,000
A modest video budget for a medium to large indie label would be around $30,000 to $75,000,
MuchMusic receives 50-100 new videos each week,
MuchMusic currently has about 40,000 videos in it's library,
MuchMusic meets every Tuesday to decide which videos it will add to heavy, medium or light rotation (and which videos to drop from rotation to make place for these new clips),
VideoFACT receives over 200 applications each round and roughly 15% of them get funding; they meet one month after each deadline date and announce winners then,
VideoFACT grants up to a total of $15,000 (based on a total budget of at least $30,000), they will allow for production "donated" services to make up the difference in cash spent,
FACTOR receives over 200 applications each round - the amount of projects they fund varies from round to round; they take up to 8 weeks after each deadline to announce the winners by mail,
FACTOR grants up to a total of $12,000 (based on a total budget of at least $24,000), they do not allow for "donated" services to make up the difference in cash spent,
VideoFACT and FACTOR committees both evaluate on the basis of the song - if a song does not get a grant, you may not reapply with that same song
