Softball

Softball is really just the girl's version of baseball. There are two types of softball; fast pitch and slow pitch. In slow pitch a bigger ball is used and the pitcher pitches the ball under hand in a arch upwards. In fast pitch the ball is still pitched under hand but it's picthed in a straight line and at a faster speed.

You play as a team and try to score the most points. Teams switch between the field and batting. When batting the players take turns trying to hit the ball that the pithcher pitches to them and then run around the bases. There are 4 bases and the 4th is called home plate. When the batter runs around all the bases and steps on home plate without getting out you scored your team a point. In softball you are out if the other team catches your ball when you hit it or if they touch the base with the ball before you do. The fielding team is the team that tries to get the batter out and have to work as a team to get the ball where they need it to go as fast as they possibly can.
