This website is still under construction, apologies for any inconveniences this might cause. Here is an example of some news from our past:

Christmas Scalelectrix!

55 went to a scalelectrix race track to celebrate a year's worth of hard work and success in several events. At the well earned break, cadets took part in a series of challenges and races, culminating in a Grand Final, which Cpl Rick Wills won by a long way, beating several of the squadrons qualified drivers!

First Class Success

At the end of December, several members of Recruit Flight had successfully completed ther first class training, and received their badges. They still have a large ammount of work ahead of them, but they are well on truly on the path to Air Cadet glory!

Yet More Promotions!

On the 9th November, Cdts Jamie Kenyon and Rick Wills were promoted to the rank of Corporal, the first step on the responsibility ladder. Congratulations to both.

Promotions!

On the 20th October, Cpls Josh Lewis and Ed Heaton both received promotion to the rank of sergeant, a deserved honour in recognition of their leadership ability and dedictation to 55.

Swimming to Victory

On the 9th September, 55 took a team of swimmers to Macc Lesiure centre for the annual Swimming Competition. 55 gave an excellent account of themselves, with the new recruit Cdt Matt Ward, winning both the junior breaststroke and the individual medley, despite being at the bottom of the age range in his group! 55 also had three other finalists in the senior age range, earning a 3rd, a 6th and a 7th place.
