Why Should You Join Us?

The Air Training Corps (ATC) is a military youth organisation for young people aged between 13 - 18. It provides great opportunities for young people to learn great skills for life, grow in confidence and meet great new friends, as well as shooting, flying, fieldcraft, drill, DofE, Gliding, BTEC, communications, aircraft recognition and more including visits to RAF/military stations.

The ATC is staffed entirely by volunteers, and if you are 20+ and think you have something to offer to young people, then why not come down to the sqn and have a chat with other members of staff. Not only are there uniformed adults, but there are also Civilian Instructors, who give up their time to teach, organise sports, help with admin, or drive cadets to events, anything you can offer is greatly appreciated.

Where Can We Be Found?

If you wish to find out more about joining 55 Squadron as a Cadet or Adult Staff then why not phone up or come down on a parade night, our Squadron is just next to Bramhall Health Centre passed the Scouts building in Bramhall, Stockport.

Parade nights are Monday and Thursday from 19:00-21:45.

Membership is open to all from age 13+, Cadets must be at least 13 before joining the Air Training Corps.  The ATC is fully supportive of equal opportunities for all.
