When
Ryu was first introduced into the show, he was considered as an
'enemy'. He is really like a yaro... Destroying Amidamaru's
tombstone... But later on, he turned to the good |
| side
and helped Yoh. He regard Yoh as his 'master' and wishes to stay
with Yoh because he admires him. But Anna just treats him as a house
maid by asking him to do household chores. XD

After he left Yoh, his ex-gang
mates brought him to a deserted bowling alley. They told him that
this could be their 'Best Place' Ryu had been searching for all his
life. There, he was possessed by Togakeroh, which later on became
Ryu's main spirit.
Ryu was then sort of 'left out' in the show. When he
returned, he was with Tokageroh. He was also one of the many
competitors who entered the Shaman Fight.
