Kummen Jungle Wars

After the fall of Uoodo, Chirico makes his way to the jungle nation of Kummen. Rochina watches Chirico's progress with interest for Kummen is currently embroiled in a civil war, and the Secret Society may be involved. Chirico enlists as a mercenary at Assemble EX-10, one of several mercenary bases scattered throughout Kummen to eradicate the Veela Guerrillas. The Veela Guerrillas' leader, Prince Kanjelman, resists the modernization that is being forced upon Kummen by the Melkian government. But in order to counter the high-tech AT forces of his enemy, Kanjelman has accepted the aid of the Secret Society, and Borough has come here to supervise their interests.

Gotho, Coconna and Vanilla have also come to Kummen and built a nightclub near EX-10. They are overjoyed at their reunion with Chirico, but Skirmishes constantly erupt with the Veela Guerrillas, so they have little time to rest before Chirico is thrust black into battle. He also finds himself surrounded by new companions, mercenaries like himself who support him in defiance of their sadistic platoon leader, Captain Kan Yu. Their names are Bully Kiderra, Pol Potaria, and Ru Shako (a mercenary from the planet Quent).

Platoons of ATs clash time and again in the dark jungles of Kummen, and Chirico soon finds himself up against a lethal opponent, a mysterious enemy who pilots the "Blue AT." Chirico sees the Blue AT's fighting style and is certain it could only be piloted by a Perfect Soldier. But it is not Fyana - it is a new PS called Ypsilon, who has vowed to destroy Chirico. The plot thickens once again when Chirico finds Fyana in Kanjelman's castle and attempts to free her.

Finally, Rochina joins the conflict and sends Chirico into the heart of Kanjelman's kingdom to officially recover the Prototype. Once he accomplishes this, however, Chirico pursues his own agenda of revenge against Borough and tries to learn if Fyana can be remade into a normal human being. As this segment of the story nears its crescendo, Rochina launches a massive assault on Kanjelman's palace, effectively mopping up another Secret Society operation.

This time, however, Chirico manages to escape with Fyana (and a portable jijirium cylinder) as Kanjelman's kingdom crumbles. But one enemy still survives: Ypsilon.
