Red Shoulder Battalion

"24th Melkian Strategic Armored Trooper Special Operations Corps Unit X-1," also know as the Codename "Red Shoulder Battalion," was part of the Gilgamesh Confederation. They are the most feared, respected Armored Troopers existed. Their reputation proceeded as their ruthless and cold-blooded slaughter went world after world slaughtering any one and every one on their way towards victory. No one can stand their ground when they go against the Red Shoulders Battalion as they pilot their Armored Scopedogs with deadly accuracy.

Melkian Colonel Yoran Peruzen was brainchild for the Red Shoulder Battalion. As he was assigned to create a super force, he found gifted soldiers who exceeded their potential to become an elite. To be the best you have to learn from the best. Peruzen's training was extremely difficult and there are no dropouts. The AT training he provided on the hidden base in Odon was so extreme and real that if you can't handle it then you are a casualty.

As the Unit X-1 (RS Battalion) was established in 7207.2.13, the military noticed what kind of personal was part of the team. The horrifying faces included elite, personally hand-picked men from the worst zones, prisons etc., but for them Peruzen's orders were the law. The team could have been considered as Perfect Soldiers just like Proto One - Fyana and Proto Two - Ypsilon. RSBs never showed any emotions in the battleground.

As anyone has seen, the Armored Troopers meant Armored Mecha and the Red Shoulder Battalions Mecha were the ultimate and were customized for each soldier and they knew every little thing from top to bottom about their Suit. Being these mechanized units were customized for individual RSBs' they became super humans as they fought with deadly accuracy against their enemies. No one could handle their AT because of their speed and maneuverability.

Victory, Victory, and more Victory, that is all the Melkian leaders were worried about. To accomplish this, they used RSBs more often then they previously realized. The RSB headquarters on planet Melkia (Deraida base) was vacant because no RSBs were ever there. They were criticized because of their noncom-passionate behavior of not even helping their comrades. 

During the Gyaoa, Orom and the Sunsa Campaigns the RSBs were almost wiped out. Off these three Gyaoa was the hardest and the Sunsa was the easiest campaign. Sunsa campaign was the most brutal of them all. Thousands of Civilians were massacred in the hands of RSBs.

Finally in 7213.7, peace came between Gilgamesh and Balarant and the result and the condition from Balarant was to disband the RSBs'. This brings the end of the Red Shoulder Battalion as some of the RSBs go to protect Col. Yoran Peruzen, some take other assignments, some become mercenaries-for-hire, or end up in the Battling arenas for more fight in their life.
