Chapter 20

          �Well, now. That was unexpected.� Said Chris as well all just stood there shocked about what just happened. Just a moment ago, me and the rest of the team were just kicked out of Camp. It was an odd moment for us all. We were suppose to be the ones giving up our lives just to get them food to eat! And yet� they just kicked us out. Just like that.

            �Now what do we do?� Callie asked.

             Chris was thinking, �Well� there�s no point in going back in since there�s no need to. Might as well go on.� Everyone nodded at that, while Chris continued, �Ok, well use that formation I showed you last night. Brent your at the back and Addison your at the front. While rest of us are in-between them.�

             Brent looked around himself and looked confused, �Um� which way are we going?� That�s when everyone looked around themselves to see what situation their in.

             We were in the hall that leads two ways, left or right. Now it doesn�t matter which way you go, because it curves the other way in about 4 meters away form us. And the only thing in the hall is the door to Camp and us.

            "Um� Which way do you guys want to go?�  Chris asked.

             �Ah, didn�t we come from that way before? You know, when we were running away from that monster.� Jenn said as she pointed to the right way. �How can you tell? It all looks the same.� Callie pointed out.

            Than all of sudden, you hear a distant inhuman cry coming for the hall Jenn was pointing down. �Well, now. I guess that answers our question.� Mac said, as everyone was standing there scared.
          
             We all hurried around the other hall, with Brent at the back constantly checking for any monsters chasing us, and Addison leading the way. Chris was writing down things in his notebook, probably drawing a map as we hurry a long the halls. Mac and Connor were near the end with Brent, walking around all proud with their big guns. The rest of us, were scared and paranoid. Callie was near her brother, while Jenn was near Chris. Hannah was awfully close to Rick. And I. I was all by myself.
 
             The halls were basically a maze. It was a straight hall like most high schools. No, instead they were always curving, turning, or ending. It was a maze. Nothing more.

            It wasn�t long till we came to a problem. The Hall branched out into four different directions. �Well now. What way do we take?� Addison asked.

            Jenn said, �I say we go right.�

            But at the same time, Callie said, �I say we go take the second one to the left.�

            While Hannah said at the same moment, �the Second one to the right looks nice.�

            And finally, Chris said, �We take the Left Hallway.�

            The rest of us looked at them with annoyance. Brent said, �Make up your mind guys!� Mac and Connor both sat down against the wall. Brent and Addison did the same in time. Jenn went up to them and asked, �What are you doing?�

           Without looking up, Mac explained, �Knowing all of you, this argument could be very long. And besides, we�re all tired. So while you guys argue, the rest of us will catch some Z�s.�

            Mac was good. For Chris was arguing with the girls about which way we go. We were getting nowhere. And we were here along time, and if I�m not mistaken, the monster could be near.

            I had to take action, so I step in the centre of the Argument. �Excuse me, I have an idea.� But they were still arguing. Brent yelled out, �SHUT UP!!! Rachel said she had an idea! Now listen to her instead of yourselves!�

            There was an eerie silence after that. Everyone looked surprised, even me, �Um� thanks Brent.� I could feel myself blush at that� But at least I had everyone attention. I felt embarrassed, �Um� Can we do something quick about this problem quick? I mean we�ve been here for quite sometime, and I don�t want any monsters to come along.�

            Chris nodded at that, �I agreed, but we�re basically taking guesses here. And everyone here seems to want to go their way.�

            Jenn and Callie were about to say something, but I cut them off before, �Ok, since we�re taking guesses, why don�t we put our heads together instead of apart. Is there anyone who�s good at mazes?�

            Hannah was thinking, �Well, I�ve been in a mirror Maze before.� Mac, Connor and Jenn nodded their heads, �Me too.� Were what they replied.

            �Ok, and how did you find the exit in that?� I asked.

            �Well, for me it was hard. I was constantly bumping to into the mirrors until I came to the exit.� Mac laughed. Connor laughed too, �Yeah, that was my way. But for me it was a little easier because when I bumped into the mirror, it had my face print on it, so I could never bump in it again! Hahahaha.�

            That dumbfounded everyone. But at the same time, it wasn�t surprising to see �their� methods of escape. Than Hannah said, �Well�. For me it was easier. I looked at the floor, and it lead me to the exit without bumping into the mirrors. It was fun, but hard and confusing.�

            Jenn smirked at that, �Well, you had it easy than, Hannah. My maze was full of mirrors, because the walls weren�t the only things with mirrors. My floor and ceiling were mirrors too. MAN, �that� was hard. I�d say that most of the time, you couldn�t tell if you were walking straight or crocked. I had the �biggest� headache after that��

            I asked, �Oh and how did you get out? You couldn�t have used the floor like Hannah, could you? So how did you manage to get out?�

           She smiled innocently, �Well now� I didn�t by myself.� She was blushing and had a huge innocent smile on her face, �I guess after three hours, they sent someone to come in and get me.�

           We all just stared at her. Than Callie asked, � You telling me you were lost in there for three hours�?� Jenn smiled again, and rubbed her neck, �Yeah. But it felt much longer than that. But at least I learned something from it all!�

           Callie asked with sarcasm, �What? To stay away from mazes?�

           Jenn laughed at that, �Nah! Not the least! When the workers of the maze came and got me, I was afraid he was going to get us lost too. Instead, he told me to put my hand on the wall and follow that wall, it will lead me to exit; he told me. So he walked in front of me with his hand on the wall, and surprisingly, we came to exit in no time! The mirrors didn�t even bother me!�

           We all just stood there in shocked. But Chris was already thinking, �Hmmm�that idea should work actually! Since the walls are basically connected together, if you start on the left side and continue on in the maze you�ll end up on the right side to where you started! It�s brilliant!�

           We all had no idea what Chris was talking about, to us, he was basically muttering to himself. He was in his own little world.  But after a few minuets of talking to himself, he went to the hallway we came from and faced the branched off hallways. He than placed his hand on the wall and followed it. He told Addison to follow that wall while he was leading. And so our team was off again.

            We continued on our journey, only to take us by many branches, but to my surprise, no doors. None since we left Camp. Well� until a while, it was than that we met our first door, one at the end of a dead end.

           �Ok, remember my layout! Brent and Addison will watch out for us in the back. While the rest of you go away from the door, just to make sure that nothing happens to grab us.� Chris explained. Mac and Connor looked annoyed as they stood on each side of the door, �Oh, thanks for caring about �our� safety.� They said plainly.

            �Ok! Are you guys ready?� Chris asked, Mac and Connor nodded their heads. �Than open the door and be ready to fire at any monster who pop out of there!�

             The suspense was killing. Because you don�t know what would be in there, a monster? Some Food? Survivors? Or Kevin? But when Connor opened the door and pointed their guns in there. We saw nothing but darkness. And heard nothing but weeping.

             From the light in the halls, the only thing that was shown in the room was a girl crying against the wall. Laying against the wall, crying, weeping� Jenn went in between Mac and Connor with happy, yet scared face.  Jenn yelled to the one person in dark room, �JENNIFER!�
