"In hearing what the book was about, I thought what a depressing view but didn't feel that way reading it. It was surprisingly not depressing. I was so scared when they were going thru his house, could feel my heart thump. As someone else stated, I couldn't put it down."

Kari
"I thought the book was brilliant. At times her writing literally took my breath away. So inventive and different from anything I have ever read, and while it was very unsettling at times, I still found it thoroughly enjoyable. I loved the characters, especially Susie, and loved the way she at times talked directly to the reader. Thought the ending was perfect."

Laurie
" I very much enjoyed this book. I was a little nervous to read it at first, but then as I started reading it I realized that I could separate my ideas about heaven from the authors. The book was written very well. I was a little surprised at the ending. I thought it would end with the sister finding the bad guy and he would get his justice. But, I was pleasantly surprised with how everything just came together at the end. If it wasn't based on the fact that this poor girl was murdered, I'd say it was a "lovely story"!!"

Mary R.
"I completely enjoyed reading Lovely Bones. It was a little bit scary in a mind wandering, thought provoking sort of way, but even though I hate scary reading I couldn't stop. Excellent story, thoughtful, mysterious, and beautifully written."
