Monday
We learned how to write business letters
in business class. For example, how to write
to customers who don't pay in time.
And in general class, it was test. We had
only written test, no interview, maybe because
of many students.
I hardly spoke English today. Don't you think
I wasted time?
Tuesday
In general class, we made phrasal verbs,
e.g. take over, pull into, in a group. In
my group, there were Sung, a Korean girl,
Jose, a Venezuela man, Alex, a German man.
We had to continue to make phrasal verbs,
it was a monotone work. Sung felt the same
feeling as mine and asked me, "what
do you say "boring" in Japanese?"
"TA I KU TSU." I whispered to her.
Then, Sung repeated "MA JI, TA I KU
TSU (really boring)".
Wednesday
Before general class, the teacher Joe
called
Aska and Steve; Their class was changed
to
Advanced class because they got high
score
at the last test.
Both Aska and Steve picked up their
stuff
and left this classroom.
Usually, changing class is done on Monday,
so this was too sudden for us. Suddenly,
we lost two classmates and today's class
was very quiet.
During a break time, I saw Steve in a cafe.
"How is your new class?"
"Not bad, but it is a little difficult."
he smiled.
Thursday
We made a discussion as to monarchy. Most
nations don't have King & Queen.
Yet, Japan has the emperor, so I was made
a lot of question.
"What is the emperor's name?"
"Name?"
Oh, what is his name? I don't remember. I
asked Eriko, the other Japanese student.
"Eriko, do you know the name of
the
emperor?"
"Well, maybe, Hirohito, or perhaps Naruhito..."
Every other student was surprised that we
don't know his name.
"Doesn't he have a name?"
"What
do you call him usually?"
"Yes, he has a name, but we call
him
just "Emperor"."
Probably, it is difficult to understand for
non Japanese. In UK, Queen is Elizabeth,
Prince is Charles, they are so famous.
However, in Japan, we call the emperor
"Emperor",
not his name.
Friday
Joe, our teacher, had a day off to take an
examination for Portuguese. So today's teacher
was David.
He was not bad, nor good.
After school, I went to China town
with Eriko,
Akira, Sung, and other students.
Eriko and Akira starts workplacement
next
week, so today was the last school
day for
them.
Besides, Sung confessed she would change
the class soon.
She wants to study grammar more. Joe doesn't
teach us grammar so often, his priority is
speaking.(I like it.)
My friends are leaving the class, thus, I'm
afraid I will be bored the school in near
feature.
