I got on tube after school and, 45 minutes
later, got off at Hatton Cross station.
I made a phone call as I was told.
"Hello, this is Fumiko, a student of
English school. I have an appointment of
interview at three. Could you transfer this
line to John or Mark?"
Then Mark answered, "Hello, Fumiko.
I will drive there in 10 minutes."
It was only ten minutes but I felt longer
while I was waiting for Mark.
He is a kind of fat man. "Hello, don't
worry." he smiled.
While we were driving to the office, we talked
about former students who had work experience
in that company.
When we arrived, I was a little shocked to
find a small dirty office.
Soon I was introduced to the manager, John,
who is a tall man.
He explained about their job, import and
export, and asked me.
"Which do you want to learn more English
or job?"
"Difficult question, but I'd like to
learn job more."
Then he took me to storehouse and we talked
a general issues, such as airplanes, cars
and so on.
I had been very nervous but this interview
was nothing special. It was like a general
talk.
Finally, Mark told me, "If you decide
to work here, please call the day before
you start to work. Then I will meet you in
front of the tube station to drive you to
the office everyday. It is absolutely up
to you whether you choose us or not. It depends
on you."
They seem to be friendly, so I'll decide
this company.
I met Carol, who is in charge of internship
and told that I would work at that company.
She will call them later.
| 10.Aug. Fri. clear, the last day of school |
I finished the 16 weeks task of school. I've
got a certificate.
I went to pub with my friends, then Italian
girl, Denis found me, (she came there with
her friends) and hugged me.
She said, "I'll go back tomorrow, thank
you, good bye."
Denis and I were not close friends, but she
was friendly to everyone, so I liked her.
The most wonderful aspect in English
school
was that I met a lot of people from
all over
the world.
I cannot weigh that value.
