Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life: the means because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one's awareness on a range of issues � from healthcare to appropriate social behaviour to understanding one's rights.

EMPLOYMENT

Due to lack of access to basic education, many children drop out from the schools and get engaged in income generating activities. Unskilled, they end up being petty laborers. Amrat Foundation aims to provide vocational skills to youth especially girls to find suitable employment.

EMPOWERNMENT

Amrat Foundation aims to innovate and demonstrate replicable and cost effective unorthodox strategies which facilitates participatory development processes leading to community empowerment.

Perhaps you’d like to enhance your employability or find a way to overcome the isolation that one sometimes face while having the satisfaction of knowing you’ve made a contribution.


Solutions to large global challenges often start with small actions at the local level. Whenever you see a need or a problem in your community, you can make a difference by standing up and taking action. For example, an artist may see young people in his neighborhood with nothing to do after school and start an informal art program. An educator may see young girls from poor families who don’t attend school regularly and set up a tutoring program for them on weekends.
