Syndromes of the heart

The physiological functions of the heart are dominating blood and vessels, and housing the mind. Pathological changes manifesting as disturbance of blood circulation and abnormal mental activities come within the diseases of the heart. Since the heart opens into the tongue, pathological changes of the tongue such as inflammation or ulceration of the tongue can be treated on the basis of differentiation of syndromes of the heart.
