what a beautiful weekend! warm and sunny - this is the first easter in awhile that's been really nice i think. paul's sister and i took a bikeride - man am i out of shape! it was fun though. i'd really like to buy a bike.....i had to borrow p's mom's. i need to do that on more of a regular basis - i thought i was going to have a heart attack...that can't be good. i think i've got the heart of a 55 year old instead of a 29 year old.
i brought my mom's famous brocooli casserole to easter dinner a paul's folks - it was a big hit....as always. that stuff is so yummy! p's nephew hunted for eggs that his sister hid - we taped it - it was really cute. i'm getting so i really feel at home with his family.....they're a lot like mine - very down to earth people, and warm, like paul. it was nice.
they were already talking about memorial day at the cabin...paul's birthday falls in that same time too - i'm psyched. i've only been to their cabin the one time, so i can't wait to go again - and when it's warm! we can go out in the boat, which is one of my favorite things to do!
paul's finally getting his new carpet installed on wednesday morning....i'm excited to get things in order over there. right now the bed's in the living room. plus i'm anxious to get that desk out of the way so i can really work on the plant area. he has them all in a corner where there's a sun-window thing - but it's pretty unaccessable right now with the desk blocking it. i want to clean that area up and add some dirt to some of the plants. he has a spider plant that needs to be hanging - so i'll look into that. it's going to look so great! his plants are already looking better. just watering them on more of a regular basis has helped a lot i think.
i came into work this morning and my little baby daisy plant was completely wilted - i watered it, and it's already revived! pretty cool. i even watered it on friday, but i guess the extra abundance of sun dried it out over the weekend more than usual.....i was so worried, but it looks like the patient is stable now, so you don't need to worry.
