paul and i went for another bike ride yesterday - and then we shot some hoops afterwards. my arms and butt are really sore today. i've really had the fitness bug lately - i hope it lasts.....i'm sure it has something to do with the great weather we've been having.....it's great timing 'cuz our work has this "commit to get fit" program with one of the really expensive health clubs every may....we get to use the club from the 1st to the 22nd for free - they even give you a free t-shirt and some other stuff if you go so many times. seminars too. I'm going to try and take advantage of it - although the downfall to it all is the sales pitch you have to go through each time...but i suppose it's a small price to pay. ordinarily the membership costs something like 45 bucks a month - and that's after the membership fee of something like $300! i'd probably spend most of the time outdoors in the summer anyway.....i'd rather spend the moola on a bike or some decent roller blades. |

it's funny - i've been noticing lately that the people in minnesota have this funny way of responding to "how are you?" they almost always say "not too bad" - does that seem awfully negative to anybody else? i wonder why that is - probably these long winters we have to endure. (i was just mentioning it now because the guy that sits next to me just answered the phone that way)..... |

anyway - sorry, back on track.....so today we also had paul's favorite summertime meal.....something he made up. he calls them mato-burritoes. they're really healthy and yummy too. so, if i can keep eating like that, and keep getting some form of exercise everyday - even if it's only 30 minutes worth, then i'm sure i'll be in bikini-shape by summer. |
