...make me...

Well, another day at work, another dollar.

Yes, I'm still working the evil tech support job. I must say it has it's up but mostly it's downs. I don't like having to think twice before answering a phone, or the nightmares, but I do so love money. It's probably the best paying job I've had in a good long while, so I would hate to leave it for something with less pay. I still keep my eyes open for opportunity, but the wells are a bit dry. I wouldn't mind the holy grail that is a government position, but that avenue is not open at this time. Stupid impending strike, job freezes and new governement. Makes life hard for me, that's what it does.

But enough about work. I haven't written anything in a while again, so let's see what I can pull out of my brain to write about...

I've been going to clubs recently. Two Saturdays in a row to be exact. I don't know why I end up at these places, but when a beautiful woman invites, I dare not say no. As long as there's beer to get me free of inhibitions, then alright! I can't really complain. I kind of had fun, and I got to see old friends, and meet new ones, so isn't that really what it's all about? Not really. So this weekend I am seriously trying to ween out the dancing and focus on the beers with old friends thing. Trying to work something up now, but my friends are very shifty with their indicision. "Yeah, someday this weekend would be fine." "Anywhere's fine with me." BAH! Where's the ideas, where's the brains! I guess I can't expect much from the lot I hang out with. Oh well.

Now I'm going to find out if I got the day off I requested. This could be the difference between seeing the beastie boys live, or missing out and going to work. I'm not going to let this go by like the Slipknot I missed. Let's go see right now... WOOHOO! I got November 10th off! I'm going to go to Beastie Boys! :D I'd do the happy dance, but I'm at work! I'll do the happy dance on lunch. Oh happy day!

Wow, was that ever a long call. 45 minutes to troubleshoot a problem that was her connection was disconnecting after sending & receiving e-mail... That's a 2 second fix. Took so long, wow... Old people are confusing. She turned off her modem, and when I asked her to turn it back on, no power. I told her to check the cables and she assured me they were ok, took me 5 minutes to convince her that maybe the power cord wasn't in tight. So she gets the bright idea that "Oh, maybe the power cable came unplugged." Ok, so it was her idea after I suggested it for 5 minutes, but I didn't say anything. But when the DSL light wasn't comming up and I suggested that perhaps the phone cable came unplugged too, she did not argue with me. Bah, 45 minutes of wasting my time, and I'm supposted to be working on my average handle time. This sucks.

Anyway, back to work, yay for long weekend, yay for beastie boys in november, yay for the pixies in november, and umm, yay for turkey!!! Oh, and boo for going back to work. (Thanks little cousin for the yay/boo idea. :P)
