I am also from Legazpi City. I've spent my 20 early years there specifically graduated from Bicol University. Where is Bicol Infonet based in Legazpi?

Unfortunately, my philatelic expertise is on Philippine Collection. The following tips could, however, help your search.

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PPC) commemorated the Pope's visit to the Philippines and issued three denominations of stamps (2.00p, 6.00p, 8.00p). They are now unfortunately off-sale per PPC. A presentation pack is still available for sale at P100.00, though. You should write directly to PPC but only though snail mail. They are not on-line, yet.

For foreign issues, you could try other philatelic web sites, especially those featuring Vatican City. Search them on-line through search engines like: Infoseek, Altavista, Yahoo!, etc. Or better still write Vatican City Postal Administration regarding your concern.

You could also try stamp dealers and exchange clubs, as well as want-list advertisers. Grab a copy of Linn's magazine.

For other links to philatelic entities, please refer back to my web site: [http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/4670/], click on Links. The PPC postal address is also cited there as well as other links (StampsDealers, Linn's) which might help you.

I have yet to establish a commercial venture out of my web site. At present though, I do not sell my stamp collection nor offer anything on-line for sale. The aim of my web site is to publicize Philippine Postage Stamp to other collectors as well as a small effort of service to our country.

I am very sorry I could not help you much, yet hope I have helped you in some way. Thanks for visiting my webs site and kindly visit again sometime.

As we say in the dialect, "Dios Mabalos!"

I have recently discovered two (2) sites which feature Vatican stamps.

You should visit them: http://www.hgitner.com (This is a dealer site. He offers lots of stamps and specializes in Vatican Stamps, too. Thus, Pope John Paul II issues are not unlikely to be in his turf).

http://www.afinsa.com (This is a searchable database web site. You could search by country or topic, e.g. Pope John Paul II).

Happy searching.
