Select a Fruit

"As you bear rich fruit and prove yourselves my disciples, my Father is glorified.
As the Father  has loved me, so I have loved you; remain in my love.
If you keep my commands, you will remain within my love,
just as I have kept my Father's commands and remain within his love."

Jesus talked much of bearing fruit.  He said that He is the vine and we are the branches,
the branches need to bear fruit if they are not to be cut off as useless branches.
Jesus was referring to a special kind of fruit, spiritual fruit that is offered to the world as a token of His love.

The Fruits of the Spirit are nine manifestations of Christ. They are listed by St. Paul in Galatians 5.  These fruits are the direct opposite of promiscuity, licentiousness, enmity, contention, jealousy, quarrels, factions, envy - the bitter fruits of the false self, these too are  listed in Galatians 5: . The Fruits of the Spirit grow along side the  virtues of faith, hope and charity.
