'Thy
mercy is in the heavens; Christ is the ultimate example of faithfulness. Consider how He became a servant to all, submitting to the death on the cross so that the divine plan for the salvation of man could be made possible. There on the cross He asks His Father to forgive those who mocked and taunted Him so cruelly. Christ could have turned aside from His purpose, saved Himself much suffering., but He was faithful right to the end. To have the fruit of faithfulness in our lives we ought to be manifesting some aspects of the faithfulness of Christ. Our aim should be to serve Him with loyalty and obedience, imitating His role of a servant. In all our ways we should be acknowledging Him. Asking ourselves if our actions in every little thing that we do are pleasing to Him. 'Trust in
the Lord with all thine heart; lean not unto thine own
understanding. |
