When the Elders gather on Wednesdays this is one of their favorite poses.

Can anyone guess who is falling asleep in the chair? My name is Jan Zickler and along with Cameron Wong we do reflexology and massage. We would love to treat you to a 30 minute session whereby we massage and work the reflexes in your feet. These reflexes correspond to all the parts of your body. Not only do you leave feeling VERY relaxed but healing takes

place as areas in the body that are under stress are released of built up energy and the circulation is increased. The body heals itself!

I thought that I would write an article each month on health issues. Last month I wrote a small article on Reflexology explaining how it releases stress and tension in the body and it encourages the body to heal. Did you know that 80% of illness is related to stress. While a certain amount of stress is necessary for life itself, stress without interruption causes wear and tear on the body. Reflexology interrupts the patterns of stress that have built up in the body and promotes a state of balance. It takes 3 to 5 sessions to interrupt the cycle of stress, 4 to 5 sessions to reeducate the stressed area and 4 to 8 sessions to maintain and strengthen the area. The body is very complex and as we become more aware of our aches and pains and listen to it we will become healthier. Cameron Wong and I are hoping to expand our service of Reflexology for the Elders. We will keep you posted as to any new developments. Until next time.......
