Drink of the day is Island Delight.
Today's port of call is Belize. This is another tendering port.
We woke up this morning to find a notice slipped under our door that said our excursion in Belize had been canceled due to the rains. I was looking so forward to the "Lost World Canopy Tour". :o(
So, we looked through the other available excursions to try and pick a last minute one. All of the ones I wanted seemed to be booked full, such as the Baboon Sanctuary & Belize City Tour; the Belize Zoo & City Tour; Cave Tubing & Rainforest Exploration (sounded very fun, but was also canceled due to rains)... sigh. We finally settled on the Altun Ha & Belize City Tour.
The excursion took us to, well, Altun Ha, a Mayan city (actually ruins). We were given a lot of history by our tour guides, and were able to climb some of the ruins. After it was over, we were dropped off in Belize City for shopping. Gosh, I wish we could have done the canopy (or even the cave tubing) tour. It wasn't even raining, but I guess the previous rains we had recently made these tours unsafe. We did get some history though. :o)
Back on the boat, we enjoyed the "Comedy of Jim Brick" in the Ivanhoe theatre. Which, by the way, I enjoyed much more then Mike Macy.
