Key Club Growth

In the spirit of raising awareness in our community of the need for Kiwanis-like service activities as well as our own commitment to providing as much help as we can, Plano East's Key Club, the only such club in all of the high schools, is beginning an expansion program that will hopefully eventually reach schools all across the district. By expanding into the other schools, we will multiply membership in the city and thus increase the capacity to help those around us.

We recently began work on this project, following the officers' attendance at the area's Fall Training Conference. Although our eventual hope is to expand to the Plano Senior High and Plano West, the officers have decided to buildup membership within the East cluster before tackling the larger projects. To that end, our first efforts will be focused on Clark and Williams, establishing clubs there that will feed into the club at Plano East. Although we just started working on this expansion, we have already contacted teachers at Clark and are currently looking for a sponsor there, an action which will soon be taken at Williams.

Please come back every once in a while and check up on the progress of our growth, and if you have any suggestions or ideas that might assist the process, feel free to email us.
