Fan Fair 2001

Hope y'all had as much fun as I did at Fan Fair 2001. See ya again next year for Fan Fair 2002!

Look for more information about Fan Fair 2002 in the upcoming months.

The 30th Annual International Country Music Fan Fair

Unlike in the past, mainstage shows will now be arranged not by record label but by record distribution group. Also, tickets to Fan Fair 2001 are tier-priced, rather than priced the same for all. Top-tier tickets will go for $115, but the lowest tier will remain at the $90 level at which it has stood for the past several years. Children 18 and under can buy cheaper tickets in each of the three tiers. The higher-priced tickets offer better seating at Adelphia Coliseum for the major shows. Daily tickets are also available.

Exhibit booths will be located in the Nashville Convention Center and will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.

The new location for Fan Fair 2001 has been announced. The Country Music Association, the sponsor of Fan Fair, has moved the annual event from Nashville's Tennessee State Fairgrounds, a site it called home for 19 years. Fan Fair 2001 will be split between Nashville's Adelphia Stadium, home of pro football team the Tennessee Titans, and the Nashville Convention Center. Shows will be at the stadium, while autograph booths will be inside the convention facility. The CMA has been looking for a new site since late 1999, when a $26.8 million plan to refurbish the aging fairgrounds facilities was abandoned. Other changes for next year's event include moving it from weekdays to a four-day weekend, Thursday through Sunday, June 14-17, a consideration designed to make attending Fan Fair easier for local residents, as well as out-of-state travelers.

There are 50,000 tickets available for Fan Fair, which will be held June 14-17 at Nashville's Adelphia Stadium & the adjoining Nashville Convention Center. Registration forms will be available in February with a choice of three ticket prices based on seating at the Adelphia Stadium. The prices are: Platinum Level $115; Gold Level $100; and Sterling Level $90. Apply on a postcard to Fan Fair, 2804 Opryland Dr., Nashville, TN 37214, as soon as possible because tickets go quickly.

What is Fan Fair?

The International Country Music Fan Fair is a country music festival held at Nashville's Adelphia Stadium & the adjoining Nashville Convention Center. You say this all sounds rather expensive? Well, when you see all you get for the price, you'll want to attend. Have you ever wanted to see all of your favorite country stars perform Live all in one place? Have you ever wanted to have the opportunity to meet and perhaps get an autograph from these stars? Well, this is precisely what Fan Fair gives to you. Inside the Adelphia Stadium, you get concerts. All day long, from 10am until 10 pm, you will see country stars performing their hits for you. See the up and coming artists as well as the most established artists in the business. All of this Live on the stage. Inside the Nashville Convention Center, you get a chance for autographs, pictures, merchandise, and your own opportunity to chat with the stars. All day long, from 9:30am until 6pm, you get the chance to see every country artist you've ever dreamed of meeting.

How do I know so much about Fan Fair?

I feel as though I have become somewhat of an authority on Fan Fair and it's events. I have attended for several years, and have found that the festival gets better through the years. More artists, more booths, more fun. Now there's even a new location which promises to be a great place to see the stars. Through this page I hope to influence some to simply check out Fan Fair for themselves. Through the years, there have been no disappointments. I've had a great time and I hope others get the opportunity in the future.

See y'all at Fan Fair 2001!
