I made up this phony window sticker because I never received one with my car when I bought it. It fools a lot of people, but I always tell them the difference. (Well, except for the guy who videotaped it last summer.) Sharp surfers will notice that I cheated a little, the 2-bbl, wheels and spoiler were actually added later. I have no idea what the actual cost of these items would have been, but I made the total correspond to my original sales receipt, which is also shown below. When I made my window sticker, I used examples from magazine photos of 1969 stickers. I recently saw an authentic '78 or '79 window sticker and it looks a bit different than this one , so I may try again just for the fun of it.

Would you believe I kept this original key tag from the dealer, but threw out my broadcast sheet? Honestly, who knew someone would actually be able to decode those things? I figured it was just garbage and would never make any sense. And by the way, I cleverly covered up my telephone number with the tag on purpose so I wouldn't be pestered by hordes of collectors wanting to buy this classic automobile.
