Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes-Benz
had its beginnings in 1886 when Karl Benz received a patent for the world's
very first motorcar. In 1901, Daimler got the rights to the name
Mercedes. In 1926, Daimler and Benz merged, and the rest is history.
All of Daimler-Benz's motor vehicle business is handled by Mercedes-Benz,
who has dealerships in more than 170 countries, including more than 350
in North America. Mercedes-Benz has become synonymous with fine craftsmanship
and luxury, and makes cars ranging in price from $30,000 to $130,000 and
is the leading German car-maker in the world. The Mercedes lineup
includes the entry-level C-Class, the distinct E-Class, and the top of
the line S-Class. There are also many sports cars made by the marque:
The SL-Class, CL-Class, SLK, and CLK. Also, new for 1998, is the
ML-Class SUV. We will provide information on the C, E, S, SL & CL classes,
and the SLK and CLK combined. That is a very impressive lineup of
cars, and this is just what is imported to the US.
