The Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This car was completely redone in 1996.  When they were doing this, Mercedes engineers had to ask themselves why they were changing the best-selling luxury import car in America.  The answer:  to make it better looking.  And that they did!  The old E-Class looked like a direct cross between the C & S Classes.  Mercedes wanted to make their E-Class more distinct, and what better way to do that than to add round headlights!  There are currently 5 trims for the E-Class, priced from $40,000 to about $55,000.  They are the E300 diesel, the E320, the E320 AWD, the E320 wagon, and the E430.  I have two neighbors who drive E320's, and the one of them that we know absolutely loves it!  I personally fell in love with this very unique automobile in Europe, especially Austria, where it was often used as a taxi.  It's really too bad our cab drivers can't buy cars like that.  Maybe in Beverly Hills, but they all own cars anyway, so what's the point?  Details will be given for the E320, as E430 details have not yet been released
