The Australian Street Rod Federation (ASRF) is the national controlling body for the sport / hobby of rodding in Australia.

The Features page contains articles from the latest ASRF Street Rodder News. This newsletter is distributed to ASRF members only on a quarterly basis. It contains lots of featured rods and coverage from major shows and runs.

The Club News page has all the latest from ASRF clubs, with details of events. It also contains a full list of all ASRF affiliated Clubs.

CONSTRUCTION
These web pages are created and maintained using DiDa Pro and Netscape Navigator Gold 3, on a Hewlett Packard Vectra VL 5/133 running Windows95. Images were created from photographs scanned using a UMax Astra 1200s flatbed scanner. Images are optimised for the web using Ulead Photoimpact 3.01. There were several design considerations that were taken into account when constructing the site. Most important were speed of display and the being able to be viewed by a majority of the different versions of browsers. Therefore at this stage the site does not use forms, tables, frames or image maps.

COUNTER
The counter used on pages sourced from the asrf.org.au site is provided by VICNET and displays only unique visits. We also use the WORLD'S TOP 1000 LIST to monitor traffic from this site. See our Stats. here. The ASRF individual State sites all utilising Geocities as their host use the Geocities counter, which also only counts unique visits.
The site has been online since the 1st of November 1996.

HOSTING
Our site is sponsored by VICNET as part of a Victorian State government initiative to encourage publishing of information by local communities and groups on VICNET and the Internet. And Geocities, which sponsor our previous issues and history archives and Street Rod Links.

We would be very interested to hear from anyone about sponsoring the ASRF website. The ASRF is a non profit organisation and all this (the website) has been put together at minimal cost (nothing).
