The word Funk!

Perhaps one of the most interesting words in the English language today is the word FUNK. It's the magical word which just by its sound can describe pain, pleasure, hate and love.

Funk takes its name from the German word 'Ficken', which means 'to strike'.

In language, Funk falls into many grammatical categories. It can be used as a verb; both transative (John funked Mary) and intransative (Mary was funked by John). As an adverb (Mary is funking well interested in John) and as a noun (Mary is a fine funk). Also as an objective (Mary is funking great). As you can see there are not many words with the same versatality as the word funk.
