Wheel Shop/Traction Motor Shop

The Wheel Shop supplies locomotive wheel sets to Canadian Pacific Railway, The Soo Line and the Delaware and Hudson. The shop produces approximately 2500 wheel sets per year and is equipped with computer numeric controlled machinery such as the wheel boring machine, axle lathe and press.

The Traction Motor Shop is located inside the Wheel Shop. They repair about 1,900 traction motors a year for Canadian Pacific Railway.The Traction Motor department achieved ISO 9002 certification in August of 1997.
