The Ogden Air Brake Shop covers an area of 4,919 square meters (5,883 square yards) and is the railways only on site repair facility for air brake components. This shop overhauls and assembles locomotive and freight car air brake parts as well as Locomotive valves, compressors, gauges, handbrakes, reservoirs and hoses which are distributed to other repair facilities across Canadian Pacific Railway.
In 1992, The Ogden Air Brake Shop was AAR certified to repair freight car air brake components for external customers. Future plans are to implement the process` to have this shop ISO certified as are both the Car Department and the Wheel and Traction Motor shops.
