The Bone (Boone) Family GenealogyThe Bone family is one of the most difficult families to trace as the surname is spelled a variety of ways yet it is pronouced as BOONE. I have been trying to find my Bone ancestor's parentage for over two years now and still I cannot find the missing link. I know very little of the actual history of this family but can share with you a bit of family folk lore. My great-great grandmother, Elizabeth Bone, firmly believed that she was a direct descendant of Daniel Boone. She passed down this family story quite readily to my own grandmother. I have tried to connect her to this famous family line but at present I cannot find her in any of the Boone family genealogy books. (4) John Alexander Kennel (b. February 04, 1838 and d. January 07, 1912) and Elizabeth Bone (Boone or Bowen) had the following children:
