The George Klingaman Family Genealogy

George Klingaman was born circa 1781 in Reading, Berks County, PA. George may be the son of Johannes Klingaman and Christina Elizabeth Hoffman (according to LDS). George Klingaman married Catherine Hostetler, daughter of Jacob Hochstetler and Barbara Miller (See DJH). There is some speculation on the actual marriage between George and Catherine as the records are unclear. The Rev. Harvey Hostetler, author of the book, The Descendants of Jacob Hochstetler, includes this marriage as fact. The church records from the Klingaman Cemetery, Greenville, list two Catherine Klingaman's - both near the same age and being buried next to George Klingaman.

(2) Johannes Klingaman (b. circa 1749) and Christina Elizabeth Hoffman (daughter of Michael Hoffman and Anna Marie Engle)
