The University of Washington also provides a very useful Grant and Contract Guide which will be helpful in preparing your grant application. Be aware that many Colleges and Universities provide extensive Web-based information relative to research, grants searching, and proposal development. The UW Library Grants and Funding Information Service will be very helpful. The Office of Minority Health is also very helpful. It cannot be stressed enough: be specific, thorough and exact in adhering to all your proposed sponsor's stated expectations. Don't make any up!

MIT has proposal help and forms, particularly with federal certifications--debarment and suspension, lobbying, and procurement integrity.

Remain aware of Current Federal Acquisition Regulations and Reforms. Look at this great FAR Page. Check my Research Page, and my On Getting Grants! Page, particularly for current OMB regulations. Another great FAR Site. Check this. Consult Federal Agencies' Acquisition Pages and Grants Available Pages. SEARCH the Federal Acquisition Regulation --FAR , from the Federal Marketplace's fine, free list of procurement resources. Try the Procurement Assistance Jumpstation.

The Sharing Technology with America. Look it over. It will be of great help.

A Harvard Research Administration Manual , from Brigham and Women's Hospital, which is generally appropriate to all grants applications. Naturally, avoid any qualifier specific to Harvard (unless you're there!). Always check with your own institutional grants office before writing or submitting a grant application

The Application Forms are available, these via Alabama. Texas Research Administrators Group (TRAM) has an extensive collection of federal forms. Always discuss the currency and applicability of a form with the sponsor.

Get Adobe Acrobat Reader to convert downloaded forms to the proper format. It's free and very useful in a number of situations.

NSF Forms are also available. Certainly examine the National Science Foundation FastLane Project for Electronic Proposal Submission help. Look at NSF's Proposal Preparation Page.
