Deborah Manfredini is an award-winning columnist for the Sherwood Voice a small town, weekly newspaper in Sherwood, Arkansas. In 1996, she won two first place awards at the annual Arkansas Press Association Convention. The awards were for both the best humorous and serious column categories in the small town weekly division. Another column earned an honorable mention in the humorous category. Prior to that she had won a second place and an honorable mention for feature stories at the 1994 convention. Although Deborah's columns usually cover topics of national interest, she is the divorced mother of two teenagers and this situation provides her with a huge amount of fodder for her weekly column also. |
