Major experience in Purchasing was with the City of Edmonton, on a project basis, commodity basis and as a Field Buyer, ending as Senior Materials Management Specialist.
Specific projects were innovative and are detailed at Reprographics; SAP; MERX and CPPC - the corporate procurement and payment card;
The compilation of various written instructions and procedures was also a major involvement: this varied from writing legal contracts; examining vendor contracts; updating, reviewing and introducing purchasing and tender clauses; tendering requirements, evaluating bids, issuing and authorising purchasing documents; rewriting step-by-step guides for all aspects of electronic purchasing.
Represented the Purchasing side on initial investigation and scripting of the SAP system - a $32 million investment.
