Vocals and guitar - Banana
Joe Truelove
The
man in the front with the big guitar, big voice and big hair. Banana
Joe Truelove fell in love with the blues as a teenager, listening
repeatedly to "BB King in London" and dreaming of the day when he
too would be old enough and big enough to play the blues. Well after
many years of dedicated practice and over-eating, he has at last achieved
the stature of the archetypal "Bluesman". His doctrine of live hard,
love hard and play hard imbues his music with that gritty enthusiasm
and realism that keeps the blues alive from generation to generation.

Sax - David Withington
A
veritable melting pot of down home blues and hot jazz, mixed with
a quintessential Englishness, combine to form the enigma that is David
Withington. His early years are shrouded with mystery as thick as
a bayou fog. Some would have it that he is the product of an illicit
liaison between a lady of high standing and an itinerant jazz musician
- we will never know for sure from whence came the tiny baby who,
when only a few hours old, was found on the doorstep of a seedy East-End
Jazz club wrapped in a black leather coat and lying in a battered
old saxophone case. Destiny indeed!

Bass - Blind Boy
For
many years Blind Boy followed in the footsteps of blues legends such
as Blind Lemon Jefferson and Blind Blake, making a handsome living
as a blind street corner musician, with not a care in the world.
Until one fateful day tragedy struck when a passing faith healer tossed
a coin into his hat and he gained his sight and lost his livelihood
in one movement. Luckily the coin turned out to be incredibly rare
and collectable and was sold at auction for a very large sum indeed.
With the proceeds of the sale he was able to purchase a bass guitar
and amplifier, as well as anonymously setting up a fund for the care
and support of ageing blues musicians. Of course, as he is so modest,
if you ask him he will deny everything.

Drums - Mad Dog
For
reasons that we are unable to reveal, this man can be known only as
Mad Dog. Suffice it to say this code name was bestowed on him by
authorities that may not even exist. It makes reference to certain
acts and deeds which officially never occured. It is possible that
he could be called away at any time, in which case he will be replaced
by a perfect double that is totally indistinguishable from the real
thing. So sensitive is the information held within his head, it has
been necessary to remove all surplus hair to allow for better cooling.
