Allow me to introduce you to the second most important woman in my life "Lucy".
I suppose every musician has their dream instrument; the one that has that certain something that can not be put into words; the one that when you pick it up for the first time has you playing things that you never knew you could play.  Perhaps this instrument comes along once in a lifetime, in a moment that must be grabbed or missed for ever.  Well here she is, a 1993 Gibson, BB King, Lucille.  A guitar with a heritage that dates back to the early days of electric blues and rock and roll.  A guitar with associations with one of the world's finest bluesmen.  A guitar that, when I held it in my hands for the first time, felt as if it had been made to measure.  Guitars are a strange phenomenon.  Each one is unique and has its own individual feel that you either love, or leaves you feeling totally indifferent.  I always make a point of picking up and playing every guitar that I can get my hands on, because just occasionally one stands out from the crowd and a whole new musical chapter begins.  Which is exactly what happened the day I met Lucy for the first time.  For the technically minded among you you may like to visit the  Gibson, Lucille page where you will find all the technical information you could wish for.  Or perhaps you would like to read what BB himself has to say about the history of the world's most famous guitar at  the offical BB King site.
