They built the row of seats in the rock. Its structure follows the architecture of the time ("podium", "cavea", "arena", etc.), measuring 130 x 102 m.
Yhis is the only Roman building which can be seen almost entirely.
History tells us that in its sand suffered martyrdom the bishop Fruitós of Tarragona and is assistants in the year 259 A.D. This is the reason why they built a Visigothic basilica in his memory in the VI c.A.D. On this basilica nother Romanic church was built in the XII c. In the year 1924 it was declaraed a listed building.
