I enjoy learning about different
countries, languages, and cultures and since I am not able to travel much
(that is a big understatement) I look for neat info. on the web.
So, this is just the beginning of my collection of cool sights I've found.
If you have any neat ones you've found, please email me the address to
it and I'll add it.
The
Gaelic Society of America is a really neat place where you can even
take audio Gaelic Language lessons. It is a really cool page.
Cariadferch's
Welsh Vocabulary Book is another neat place that I actually found when
I mistyped my web address once.
A cool sight about Great Britain is United
Kingdom Travel and Tourism.
How could I include stuff about great cultures without some information
about my own wonderful country. This is a neat page about The
50 US States and their capitals.
Someday I really want to visit the Phillipines
and help at a children's school and orphanage there. If ever I were
to choose a place to go on a missions trip, it would be there.
Oh
Canada! is a wacky page of Canadian stuff, but
I felt I needed to include some info. about Canada since they do make really
cool neighbors to the U.S., and we've been good friends since the year
1812.
Some of my reletives came from France to Canada a long time ago, and it has always been my dream to visit there and find out more about my family history.
Some of my family also came from Italy, not many generations back, although I don't look one bit Italian. :) That is another place I would love to visit. This web page is really neat, but some links are in Italian--sorry!
The USA's other fine neighboring country is Mexico and I found this neat page about it.
A very, extremely useful language to know in my area of the country is Spanish, and I found this neat sight for online Spanish lessons.
