Plot -
At Captain Britain's request, Excalibur travels to his old lab where riots have been
taking place, because of supposed nuclear weapon developments going on at the lab.
Excalibur enters the lab to figure out what's really going on, confronting Brian's old
boss and friend, Professor Walshe. But only minutes after arriving, Excalibur is attacked
by the Outlaws, the group of mercenaries led by Silver Sable. The two groups tussle, more
playfully than actually fighting. They continue their squabble until Shadowcat and the
Prowler accidently undercover the secret of the lab. Professor Walshe is really a left
over vessel of Arnim Zola's, the master genetist. And so, he reveals what's really going
on: the lab is using clones to help create a powerful living weapon. Excalibur and the
Outlaws team up to stop this creature, but they find the only way they can is to destroy
Brian's friend. And so, Meggan puts herself in jeopardy, transforming herself into sand,
and enters Professor Walshe's robotic body, blowing him up from the inside. Thus, the
monster and the clones are stopped, but Brian loses a mentor. |
