Phoenix vs. Ahab and the Hounds
Plot -
Excalibur, called to London by the police, are helping the police search for a missing
girl. While the others search the city, Rachel and Inspector Thomos confront the man who
with Amy last. However, he claims he has no memory of where he left her. Reaching inside
his mind, Rachel discovers that something has warped the criminal's mind and that same
thing has taken Amy. When Rachel and Thomas finally reach Amy, Rachel is forced to
confront her memories of her life before Excalibur, her life as one of Ahab's Hounds. She
relives the memory of helping murder Nightcrawler. Defeated by her suffering, Rachel
succombs to the pain, and is taken control by D'Spayre, the demon that took Amy. D'Spayre
is trying to feed on Rachel's suffering, but Rachel fights back, realizing that when she
was a Hound, she did not have control over her own life. She fights off D'Spayre, while
Inspector Thomas saves the young girl. Rachel defeats D'Spayre with the power of her own
hope, and she sends the demon packing. Amy is saved, and Rachel discovers that even after
all she went through, she still has hope inside her. |
