Plot -
The Avengers are beseiged in the mansion by the hundreds of protestors awaiting just
outside their fabled mansion's gates. The Avengers and their security advisor, Duane
Freeman, look over the thousands of letters of protest that Jarvis delivers. The Scarlet
Witch enters the room, making a comment on the public opinions. Captain America leaves the
room, with the emotion getting too high. In the rooms upstairs, Dr. Jane Foster removes
Justice's leg cast, while Wonder Man searches for clues about the missing Vision. The
crowd outside is appalled as Quicksilver makes with way through. But before he can get
inside, he must stop three vandalizers. Quicksilver makes a startling revelation and
rushes inside. Once there, he shows them the Triune Understanding pins that many of the
protestors carried. But then, Duane himself proves to be a Triune. But before anyone can
anything, the alarm goes off, summoning the Avengers to once again save the world. High
above Manhatten, there's a large colossuem simply floating in the air, destroying
everything in its path. The Avengers move quickly to save the innocents below, but the
colossuem itself throws off each of their advances. On board the strange ship, the
Exemplars, the group of eight very powerful beings whose powers are derived from eight old
gods. One of them is Juggernaut, whose refuses to join their game for global destruction
and domination. The Exemplars bicker and fight among themselves, searching for Juggernaut,
to begin their game of conquest. But down below, the Juggernaut appears before the
Avengers, hoping that can save him from the Exemplar's wrath. But its too late, nearly as
soon as he appears, Juggernaut is whisked away by Tempest, blasted by Inferno, pulled
apart by Stonecutter, and his mind blasted by Bedlam. The Avengers are dumbfounded as the
Exemplars make the proclamation that if the Avengers move to stop them, they will destroy
all of humanity! |
