A-Next is summoned by Mainframe, and when they arrive at the mansion, they find a whole
new set of super-heroes there ready to take over. Jubilee and Mainframe are there, and
they tell A-Next that the new heroes are the new Avengers recruits: Crimson Curse,
Bluestreak, Freebooter, and American Dream (whose really Shannon Carter, one of the
mansion's tour guides). J2 and the others are upset, but agree to let the other heroes
join them. However, just across town at the embassy of Wakanda, SHIELD Agent 33, N'Kano,
and T'Chaka (Black Panther's son) are attacked the by the supremecist cult known as the
Soldiers of the Serpent. Agent 33 is taken down, but N'Kano reveals himself to be
Vibraxas, master of vibration. However, before A-Next can arrive, Vibraxas is shot down
and captured. Stinger, Mainframe, J2, and Thunderstrike show up, hoping to stop the
cultists. But before they can, the soldiers take off, with the captured Vibraxas and the
hidden Stinger in tow. The Avengers head off to stop them, but T'Chaka, telling them that
he can help: for he is really Coal TIger. The group heads off, and back at the mansion,
Jarvis and the new recruits decide the old Avengers need help. The others attack, but a
mechanical serpent is about ready to eat them, when the other Avengers show up, and with
all that power, put an end to the Soldiers of the Serpents's rampage. But one lone soldier
decides the fight isn't over yet, and is ready to put a bullet in Vibraxas's head.
American Dream stops him, in doing so, becomes an instant celebrity. The new recruits
officially become Avengers. |
