Theater Exclusive Meltdown Godzilla

In 1995 Bandai issued a special "theater exclusive" version of their '95 style Godzilla figure, Meltdown Godzilla. The mass market version dubbed Burning Godzilla, was molded in black vinyl with splashes of orange paint to simmulate the burning effect. The thearter exclusive figure pictured here is molded in orange vinyl with red highlights.
A limitted number of these figures were produced (I don't know what that number was but if anybody out there does , please drop me a line).
Bandai used this same mold two more times in the "Godzilla Forever" series which featured repaints of some of their figures.
Following the success of this figure Bandai released a theater exclusive Gamera figure for the Gamera vs. Legion film. Fans were hoping for more theater exclusive Bandai figures with the release of Mothra and Mothra 2, but that didn't happen. In fact Bandai didn't even produce a standard size figure for Dagarla, Mothra's latest opponent.
