I kept watching, reading and listening to news on Texas execution over the last few days!!
I wished sincerely from deep in my heart that "Shaka" given the chance of re-trial!! ... I couldn't swallow the idea that "only one" wittness verdict was enough to punish this man "twice"!!! "Once" when he was 'imprisoned for 20 yrs' (this is a life sentence penality) and the "other" when he was executed after he spent "20 yrs behind the bars"! !!!! How had he been punished twice while the Jury's verdict was once (to be executed!)...???
What sort of "criminal Law" this claimed "mother of Democracy" is implementing!!???....How we seek HR protection from such a country!!! who keeps underage imprisoned for a life-sentence term then execute them..???
When the Afro-Am leaders , lawmen, intellectuals and HR activists shall take some very practical steps to force the authorities to revise such rotten "Laws" and measures..???Instead of just dennouncing the killings..??? When they shall save hundreds of those who are waiting for decades behind bars then executed ..????
