rifles SALUTE TO THE
WOMEN FREEDOM

BY SUE AFRICA                   FIGHTERS

Ona Move to all my strong loyal revolutionary sisters from Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Uruguay, Peru, Germany, Chile. I met you all at the Political Prisoner Conference in Berlin in April and although I have forgot some of your names, t will never forget your faces, your strength or the commitment you've demonstrated in your fight for freedom and justice. Long Live The Women Freedom Fighters Forever! This is not to say the men freedom fighters across the globe are not setting an impressive example. It is only to say that not enough attention is focused on what women revolutionaries have had to face and endure at the hands of the oppressor. The instinctive loyalty that remains strong in women was felt at the International Political Prisoner Conference as we all linked together as one to confront and expose the demon intimidation tactics the oppressor uses to beat down and kill off the fighting spirit in women freedom fighters. Women from South America as well as Turkey, Iran and Iraq spoke painfully of the torture tactics that are used by the men oppressors there. Sexual rape is used repeatedly and brutally to humiliate, subjugate the women, break their will, their mind, ultimately breaking their body.

JOHN AFRICA teaches that the mind and the body are one, the mind controls the body so if the mind is broken the body will follow. The oppressor uses the freedom fighters children to intimidate, coerce the women to stop fighting. What happens is if a woman is arrested she must either send her child away to an unknown orphanage - knowing from the outset she will never see this child again or know of her or his fate. One freedom fighter from Uruguay didn't see her daughter for a quarter of a century.

The other choice - which is no choice at all was to take their child with them to prison where the child must endure everything the mother does - including unspeakable tortures like being placed in coffin-like boxes for days on end with no food or water, the child sometimes being only 2-3 years old, but whatever age the child is, they are catastrophically scarred for the rest of their lives. These tactics of brutal coercion are used to prohibit a woman from even thinking about organizing or speaking out against oppression and the women are forced to just swallow and choke on the injustice of oppression or accept a lifestyle where their child may be a victim of torture and imprisonment or to never see their child again. The women freedom fighters of these countries are very cou ageous and committed to ridding life from the demon oppressor that is plaguing all of life without prejudicial consideration. The solution to these oppressive problems is to unite together in one common direction.

To QUOTE JOHN AFRICA: Solidarity is unity, without unity you can't have revolution... Revolution is organization just as solidarity is togetherness... The word people should be a symbol of identity which should unite people and dispell war but to call everybody a person and go to war against people is to say that people are compelled to conflict making peace hopeless and everything people are striving to make, to have, to be .... If we expect to accom plish the defeat of oppression, we are going to have to understand the power of assertion, a single mind is an assertive mind, when we think as one we are as no other, when we think as one another we're defeated because one is one and another is something other than one.
END QUOTE JOHN AFRICA.
