In the milking process, the udders are cleaned, then the milking machines are attached. After the cow has finished milking, the teats are dipped in a sanitizing solution to prevent mastitis, which is an inter- mammery infection.
The milk flows from the machines into jars. The jars have measurements along the side to allow the milker to see how much milk the cow has given.
Milk is pumped from the jars to a receiving jar and from there it is pumped into the milk tank.
