After too many productions of 30 year old rock operas and deciding that Broadway is too old of a dog for new tricks, Kurt Gombar (30) decided that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. That's why he started SAINT DAMIEN. The composer writes all the material in his Randolph, MA studio and hires musicians to record and play live. When time and space allows, the ensemble will include amplified string quartet, guitar and drums. If not he is willing to show up with a PA and a sequencer to put on his show.

The desire to tell stories and contemplating the dualities of life are the inspiration for the songs. Influences come mainly from the Progressive and Industrial genres of music. Each of his songs are an emotional turning point in a yet to be written story. When time and space allows, he will have actors join him on stage to help tell the stories embedded in the lyrics. The result is something like Japanese Kabuki Theatre which instead of being one whole play, is the medieval equivalent of all the car chases and explosions of folk tales without all the boring bits.

SAINT DAMIEN is looking forward to playing live and the six song CD "Bringing Heaven Down" is presently in negotiations for release.
